About

Our Structure

speaker events

The Speaker Event team aims to introduce KIDA members and the wider Stanford community to various avenues of international development through intimate conversations with graduate students, professors, and leaders in the field. The team will be in charge of communicating with speakers, planning, and organizing the speaker series. We seek to give a platform to underrepresented voices and perspective on international development at Stanford.

special Projects

The Special Events team focuses on planning one major KIDA event for the spring quarter. In Spring 2021, KIDA organized a virtual hackathon that focused on education development through engaging faculty and industry specialists to engage with Stanford student teams. This year, the KIDA Special Events Team is planning on launching partnerships with international development NGO's, giving Stanford students the opportunity to work directly on global development projects.

Communications

The communication sub-team seeks to communicate international development issues and our work to the broader Stanford student body. We believe that there is much more to be done in this field and communication is key to raising awareness and promoting discussions about global development issues. To this end, our group focuses on building our presence in the Stanford community through the use of an email list, website, and social media.

our mission

We hope to promote awareness of global development issues among the Stanford community and inspire students to contribute.

Inspire

We are looking forward to generating impact as a student group - whether in the form of campus events, research, or cooperation with other groups.

Impact

We take initiative in our approach to explore innovative solutions to global development issues and to communicate our work to the Stanford community and beyond.
